Rapid-Air Rim Drive Payout Reels

Allows payout from either press side or backside of reel.

Rapid-Air rim drive units employ a DC worm drive with variable speed action. Power is on the rim.

Rim Drive Reels allow stock to be paid out from either the press side or backside of the reel, providing more flexibility for stock orientation.

This Rapid-Air compact unit can easily accommodate the placement of a stock straightener above the rim drive.

Model RD300 comes with a 1/2 HP motor, but can also be special ordered with a 1 HP motor for extra-heavy or high speed requirements.

Our rim drive reel can be ordered with a Rapid Roll or straightener package. Choose the control that best fits your needs. Our three controls include standard loop control as well as auxiliary touch control or sonic control. See the control section of this catalog for details.
